We aimed for a simple story-telling website that communicates the personal passion and visionary spirit of the brand. "All of our best efforts: We have one aim, one shot. But, to get it right, with all that work and a welcome dose of luck, the result is a wine as eloquent as it is rare, as thrilling to make as it is to uncork."

The handwork in the vineyard and cellar deserved to be echoed on the label. Made with handmade washi paper, engraved, letterpressed, and hand-numbered, the label reflects the intimate attention to detail in the wine.

Sylvie is a namesake brand, honoring the grace and boldness of the owner's mother. I found inspiration in her signature discovered on keepsake correspondence to include the punctuation after her name.

Twenty years of history included their iconic brand crest. I partnered with artist Craig Frazier to create an updated crest that reflects the winery's connection to the land and Winemaker and Partner Andy Smith's Scottish heritage.

Elevated messaging for seasonal releases includes postal and email campaigns conveying Andy Smith's detailed tasting notes combined with a glimpse into the vineyards and cellar.


I conducted brand essence workshops to get to the heart and soul of the brand -- what makes it truly unique. Then, I create a vocabulary and voice to carry through all messaging to ensure authenticity and cohesion.
